Silent Night

Welcome to the annual Christmas party at Nell and Simon’s idyllic home in the English countryside.  It feels just like every other holiday party except for the cloud of poisonous gas billowing toward you in an environmental apocalypse.  Despite Nell and Simon’s best intentions, no amount of gifts, games or Prosecco can lighten up the atmosphere when they’re serving suicide pills for dessert.  Keira Knightly (Pirates of the Caribbean films, The Imitation Game) and Matthew Goode (The Crown, Downton Abbey) lead the fraught festivities in this deliciously irreverent dark comedy film.  1 1/2 hours on 1 disc.
